The Nano-Center of Tomsk Polytechnic University was established on the basis of the SIC of Advanced Technologies \"Spectrum\" of TPU within the framework of the Innovative Educational Program of TPU of the Priority National project \"Education\" and the Federal Target Program \"Development of Nanoindustry infrastructure in the Russian Federation for 2008-2010\" as an interdisciplinary center for advanced training of elite specialists in the field of materials science, nanomaterials and nanotechnologies and a unique equipment. The purpose of the TPU Nano-Center is to develop scientific research, train elite specialists and teams of world—class professionals in the field of materials science, nanomaterials and nanotechnology.
