Collaborative Access Center (CAC) \"Testing Center of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials\" was organized in 2008 to perform fundamental and applied research at a higher experimental level and ensure the most efficient utilization of unique and expensive equipment. The CAC was incorporated into the structure of the Institute by special order of director. Now CAC is specialized in investigations of the physical properties of variety of materials, mostly solids, metals, alloys, nanomaterials and nanostructures within the framework of scientific programs carried out by the Institute of Metal Physics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as by other organizations of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, enterprises and scientific institutes of the Ural region.
